Global Perspectives
My global experience revolves around my attendance and participation in the Global Engineering Education Conference (GEDC) World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF) 2023 in Monterrey, Mexico. This experience immersed me in a global engineering community, promoting cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. By engaging with this event, I was able to contribute to and benefit from the global discourse on engineering education, addressing ethical issues and innovations crucial in a global economy. The GEDC WEEF 2023 served as a platform for me to interact with a diverse group of individuals, from students and academics to industry professionals from around the world, all committed to advancing engineering education and addressing global challenges. This engagement directly supports the learning objectives outlined by the GCSP, particularly in working with diverse teams, fostering global citizenship, enhancing cultural awareness, and nurturing openness to difference. Throughout the conference, I engaged in workshops, panel discussions, and collaborative sessions that emphasized sustainable development and the social responsibilities of engineers worldwide.
