About GCSP
The Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP) is a prestigious initiative spearheaded by the National Academy of Engineering to prepare students to tackle 14 major global challenges in the 21st century. This multidisciplinary program fosters a diverse skill set through five competencies: research and innovation, multidisciplinary approaches, entrepreneurship, a global perspective, and service learning. It aims to equip scholars with the necessary tools to address complex issues ranging from sustainable energy to advanced healthcare, emphasizing the integration of technical expertise with social awareness and global understanding. Through GCSP, students are prepared to become leaders and innovators who will shape a better future by solving some of the world's most pressing problems.

Advancing Health Informatics
The grand challenge I chose to focus on is advancing health informatics. This stems from a deep-seated belief in the power of technology to revolutionize healthcare. In today's world, where data is as crucial as the medicines and treatments themselves, I see immense potential in harnessing the power of data science and AI to improve health outcomes. My motivation for participating in the Grand Challenge Scholars Program is driven by a desire to be at the forefront of this transformation. I am here not just to learn and grow as a scholar but to contribute actively to developing innovative solutions that address critical health informatics challenges.
