The STARS Computing Corps has been an incredibly rewarding and eye-opening experience. It’s a community built around the idea that everyone should have the chance to explore and succeed in tech, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds. STARS focuses on closing the digital divide by offering access to computing education, mentorship, and resources that can make a real difference. At its core, the mission is about helping people build the skills and confidence they need to pursue opportunities in tech - and hopefully inspire the next generation of innovators along the way.

Having been apart of the program my entire college journey, going from secretary to treasurer to now co-president- I play a key role in helping our mission come to life. I handle a mix of responsibilities - from organizing events and workshops to managing communication and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. I also serve as Secretary, which means I focus on keeping our team coordinated and making sure our goals and efforts stay aligned. Whether we’re running a coding workshop or mentoring students, everything we do is aimed at making tech more accessible, inclusive, and empowering for everyone we reach.
